First Years Educational Programs
Our teachers and assistants are selectively chosen. Their educational background, experience with children and their love of children are qualifications we look for when choosing staff to care for children.
Our center follows state regulations in qualifying new staff. Each staff has passed a background check done by the center and DCFS. Each staff member is approved by DCFS.
Every year staff members obtain 20 or more clock hour training and are all CPR certified. They are warm and loving, open to the children's needs and flexible in their actions. Staff members are required to have physicals every two years, along with a T.B. testing. Physicals must stay current.
Staff is also required to show proof/documentation of having received one dose of the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) and 2 doses of the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), or show proof of immunity to MMR (DCFS will require physician’s written signature)
